Intel Core i9-9900K, i7-9700K and i5-9600K Prices listed at retailer

Intel Core 9000 series pricing

Intel’s next-generation Core 9000 series processors are expected to launch this autumn, with the highest number of cores for top models in the lineup. The new Coffee Lake CPUs have now appeared at a retailer, revealing preliminary prices.

The Core 9000 series pricing comes just as before last year’s launch of Coffee Lake from the British retailer, Lambdatek. The unreleased processors are no longer found at the retailer, however, the Swedish website SweClockers has saved screenshots of the listings.

Intel Core i9-9900K price (Lambdatek)

The Core i9-9900K with eight cores and 16 threads costs 542 euros. The next-gen flagship CPU has a base clock of 3.6GHz and an all-core Turbo of 4.7GHz. It can peak at 5GHz on a single core, which is hugely impressive. Other specs include a 16 MB L3 cache and 95W TDP.

Intel Core i7-9700K price

The eight-core Core i7-9700K, which is expected to be without hyperthreading, costs 421 euros. This is also a 95W part that runs at a base clock of 3.6GHz and turbo boost of 4.9GHz. It has 12 MB L3 cache and an 8-core maximum boost of up to 4.6GHz.

Intel Core i5-9600K price

The mid-range model in the lineup comes in the form of the six-core Core i5-9600K, which also lacks hyperthreading. The CPU sports a 95W TDP with a base clock of 3.7GHz, boost clock of 4.6GHz, and a 9 MB L3 cache. The 6 core maximum boost can go up to 4.3GHz. It is listed for 296 euros.

Intel is reportedly struggling to meet the 14nm Coffee Lake demand, and as a result, the prices have skyrocketed, some even 60%. It seems that the supply issues are substantial on the 14nm production lines, causing the pending Core 9000 series to suffer at launch, which is based on the same Coffee Lake node.

Specifically, the 8-core Core i9-9900K will be available in severely limited stock, and will continue to suffer from shortages in availability for months after its release. Finally, the prices could settle at a lower level, so that the SKU lands at a street price of €450.

The Intel Core 9000 series is expected to launch in November this year, following the arrival of the Z390 chipset. The new processors are, however, said to not require the new chipset, but should be compatible with the current 300-series motherboards through a BIOS / UEFI update.
