AMD Vega 10 XTX/XT/XL, Vega 20 and Vega 11 GPUs Confirmed by EEC
The official launch of AMD’s new RX Vega GPU is only a couple of days away, so leaks and rumors are bound to trickle out. New information has just popped up which sheds light on a slew of Radeon Vega products – from AMD Vega 10 through to Vega 20. We have heard about these GPUs before, but this is the first time the details come via an authentic source.
AMD’s upcoming Vega products are now confirmed by the Euroasian Economic Commission (EEC). This is a regulatory body just like the FCC in the US, with any and all electronics products needing to be certified before they are released into the market.
AMD Vega 20 featuring up to 32GB HBM2
The Vega 20 will reportedly feature four HBM2 stacks, which means the GPU should provide a whopping 32GB capacity. According to the listing on EEC, Vega 20 is a GL variant, indicating this won’t be a consumer card. You can expect it to be a Radeon Pro or a Radeon Instinct accelerator.
AMD Vega 10 XTX, XT and XL – Air & Liquid Cooled Card Lineup
The listing also mentions the AMD Vega 10, confirming it will launch in three different SKUs, namely XTX, XT and XL. These RX Vega cards will rival Nvidia’s GeForce GTX 1070 and above.
The Vega 10 XTX will likely be a reference card that will sport a liquid cooler, with AIB partners opting for air coolers. It will come with an 8GB of HBM2 storage.

The Vega 10 XT will also feature 8GB of HBM2, but it will be air cooled with a lower TDP rating than the XTX. At present, we don’t know if there will be differences in the clock speeds as well.
Finally, we have the Vega 10 XL, and from what we’ve heard so far, it’s a custom-only chip with an unknown amount of on-board memory.
AMD Vega 11 and Vega 12 – The Cut-down RX Vega
The AMD Vega 11 is bit of an anomaly. Based on previous rumors, the chip was meant to replace the Polaris 11. You could imagine it to power the cut-down RX Vega aimed at the mid-range market.
The EEC lists two Vega 11 chips, the Vega 11 XT and Vega 11 Pro, which are both custom based cards. There is also an entry for a FirePro card based on Vega 11. The Vega 12 is mentioned as an XT FirePro card.
AMD will officially launch its RX Vega graphics cards at SIGGRAPH 2017, which takes place in Los Angeles between July 30 and August 3. You can expect the first batch of AMD Vega 10 GPUs to hit the shelves as early as mid-August.
