AMD Ryzen CPU Prices Leaked for Full Lineup, Specs & Clock Speeds Also Detailed
With the launch of AMD Ryzen CPU lineup just around the corner, more and more information regarding these enthusiast processors is making rounds on the web. Today, we have two leaks for you, one reveals Ryzen CPU prices while the other confirms all 17 different models, along with details on the number of cores and threads each of them features, and their TDP ratings. So let’s start with the latter first!
Full AMD Ryzen CPU Lineup Confirmed – 8, 6 & 4 Core Models Launching Next Month
The Ryzen CPU lineup is comprised of five 8-core models, four 6-core models and eight 4-core models. Each series includes at least one Black Edition which features AMD’s intelligent eXtended Frequency Range (XFR). There are two Black Edition 8-core CPUs, one Black Edition 6-core and two Black Editon 4-core CPUs.

XFR is a fully automated technology added to Ryzen CPUs that permits frequencies above and beyond default boost clock speeds depending on the cooling solution being used. This means whenever a cooling solution better than AMD’s Wraith is available, your Ryzen chip will automatically detect it and overclock accordingly.
So it’s likely that AMD will give an aesthetic update to its beloved Wraith cooler which will in fact be paired with Black Edition 95W Ryzen CPUs, including the Ryzen 7 1800X, Ryzen 7 1700X and the Ryzen 5 1600X.
AMD Ryzen CPU Prices and Clock Speeds Revealed
We already know the prices of three Ryzen 7 CPUs, but now thanks to an internal product list of a Chinese retailer, pricing of the entire Ryzen CPU lineup is revealed along with base and turbo clock speeds of the chips.
AMD Ryzen 7 Prices:
Let’s start with the top-of-the-line Ryzen 7 series. Previously, we saw three of these chips listed online over at ShopBLT – a retailer that has a pretty good track record of listing AMD CPUs prior to their release, with prices exactly matching the official MSRPs at launch.
Since the recent leak comes via a Chinese retailer, the prices are in the Yuan. When converted to the Dollar, there appears to be a 20-25% mark-up compared to US retail prices, as obvious from those of the Intel CPUs listed in the chart.
With that in mind, when we exclude VAT or any other taxes, retail prices for 8-core, 16-thread CPUs are nearly the same as we saw on ShopBLT.
AMD Ryzen CPU | Cores | Threads | L3 | TDP | Base | Turbo | Price |
AMD Ryzen 7 1800X | 8 | 16 | 16MB | 95W | 3.6GHz | 4.0GHz | $499 |
AMD Ryzen 7 1700X | 8 | 16 | 16MB | 95W | 3.4GHz | 3.8GHz | $389 |
AMD Ryzen 7 1700 | 8 | 16 | 16MB | 65W | 3.0Ghz | 3.7GHz | $319 |
AMD Ryzen 5 Prices:
You’ll notice the same mark-up trend as we saw above, with the retail prices of Ryzen R5 chips.
We have two 6-core, 12-thread Ryzen CPUs, with the Black Edition R5 1600X priced at $259 and the 1500 at $229. The 4-core, 8-thread CPUs include the Ryzen 5 1400X and 1300 which promise to offer performance on par with an i7 quad-core chip for around two thirds to a half of the cost.
AMD Ryzen CPU | Cores | Threads | L3 | TDP | Base | Turbo | Price |
AMD Ryzen 5 1600X | 6 | 12 | 16MB | 95W | 3.3GHz | 3.7Ghz | $259 |
AMD Ryzen 5 1500 | 6 | 12 | 16MB | 65W | 3.2GHz | 3.4Ghz | $229 |
AMD Ryzen 5 1400X | 4 | 8 | 16MB | 65W | 3.5GHz | 3.9GHz | $199 |
AMD Ryzen 5 1300 | 4 | 8 | 16MB | 65W | 3.3GHz | 3.6GHz | $175 |
AMD Ryzen 3 Prices:
Finally, we have two entry-level quad-core Ryzen chip with SMT (multi-threading) disabled.
Both Ryzen 3 1200X and 1100 are rated at 65W TDP, with prices ranging from $149 to $129.
AMD Ryzen CPU | Cores | Threads | L3 | TDP | Base | Turbo | Price |
AMD Ryzen 3 1200X | 4 | 4 | 8MB | 65W | 3.4GHz | 3.8GHz | $149 |
AMD Ryzen 3 1100 | 4 | 4 | 8MB | 65W | 3.2Ghz | 3.5GHz | $129 |
All AMD Ryzen models feature an unlocked multiplier which offers overclocking right out of the box. The chips are scheduled to launch in early March “with widespread system availability from day one.”
