Just Cause 4 Recommended Spec Seeks RX Vega 56 or GTX 1070

Avalanche Studios has released the system requirements for the upcoming open-world action game Just Cause 4. The developers recommend 16GB of RAM paired with an AMD RX Vega 56 or an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 graphics card. You will need a more powerful GTX 1080 Ti for running the game at 4K resolution.

According to Just Cause 4 specs (via the game’s Steam store page), PC gamers will at least need an AMD FX-6300 (6 threads) or an Intel Core i5-2400 (4 threads) CPU with 8GB of RAM. On the graphics side, a Radeon R9 270 or a GeForce GTX 760 with at least 2GB of video memory is the minimum. The game also requires 59GB of free space on HDD or SSD.

The recommended specs include an AMD Ryzen 5 1600 (12 threads) or an Intel Core i7-4770 (8 threads) that are both more up-to-date processors with more power per core. As mentioned above, Avalanche also recommends require twice as large RAM (16GB) with high-performance class GPUs.

That said, the team did not specify what resolution or framerate these PC specs target. However, they did reveal the official PC requirements for achieving 4K resolution. You will need Nvidia’s previous-gen flagship GeForce GTX 1080 Ti or above, which is the only 4K solution in the list because AMD currently has no similar counterpart ready.

Now I don’t know but Avalanche mentions an even faster CPU for playing in 4K, even though a higher resolution has little to no effect at all on the CPU. The company also has yet to reveal the default disk space requirement for the 4K configuration.

Just Cause 4 comes with an Expansion Pack that covers three distinct DLC packs, namely, Dare Devils, Demons, and Danger. You can get 7 days early access to each of the three packs when purchased as part of the Gold Edition of the game. Just Cause 4 is scheduled to release on December 4.
