AMD RX Vega 56 Now The Best Selling GPU on Amazon, Priced at Official $400 MSRP

AMD RX Vega 56 and 64 Amazon pricing

For the first time since their launch in August, AMD RX Vega 56 and 64 are now available at suggested pricing. Fans who had been stymied by the limited stocks and sky-high prices could finally pick one of AMD’s latest cards up at the official MSRP of $399.99. And seems like they did as the cheaper RX Vega 56 tops Amazon’s best sellers list of GPUs.

The AMD RX Vega 56 sold out within minutes of launch, and since then the card has been suffering from supply issues. The shortage was said to be caused by low packaging yield rates, resulting in prices well above the original MSRP. AMD finally appears to have replenished the stock and prices are back to normal.

Heading over to Amazon, you’ll find the XFX Radeon RX Vega 56 selling for $399.99. The card is currently the best selling GPU on Amazon. Meanwhile, XFX’s Vega 64 is also available at AMD’s suggested pricing of $499.99.

At Newegg, the Vega 56 from XFX, Gigabyte, Sapphire, and PowerColor are all priced between $400 and $420. Micro Center is also offering both the Radeon RX Vega 56 and Vega 64 at suggested pricing.

If you need a refresher, the AMD RX Vega 56 is based on the cut-down Vega 10 GPU. As the name suggests, it features 56 compute units and 3,548 stream processors that are clocked at 1156MHz base and 1471MHz boost.

The card packs 8GB of HBM2 VRAM which will deliver a rated bandwidth of 410 GB/s across a 2048-bit bus interface. It features a total compute performance of 10.5 TFLOPs. It has a TDP of 210W which will be provided through an 8 and 6 pin connector configuration.

The sudden burst of the RX Vega availability is likely tied to Nvidia’s GeForce GTX 1070 Ti release. The new Pascal based card, priced at $450, competes against the Vega 56. But if you compare, the $400 Vega trade blows pretty well with the 1070 Ti in most games.

So hurry up and buy the AMD RX Vega 56 or Vega 64 now if you’ve been waiting. The Amazon stock are listed as sales and there is no word on how long the deals will last.
