Leak reveals Intel 10nm Cannonlake and 6 new Coffee Lake chips

Intel 10nm Cannonlake processor spotted

A total of six unreleased Intel processors have shown up in the 3DMark and SiSoftware databases. The processors seem to be based on the 8th Gen Coffee Lake architecture while at least one chip could be part of the upcoming 10nm Cannonlake family.

Intel 10nm Cannonlake 9th Gen Processor Spotted

The 10nm Cannonlake based chip here sports two cores and four threads. It runs at a base clock of 2.2GHz and boost clock of 2.6GHz. Further, the chip features an Intel UHD Graphics based on the Gen 10 architecture. The TDP is rated under 5W, so it will be integrated within ultra low power designs.

We don’t know the official name of the CPU yet but it will likely be part of the Intel 9th Gen family. There is no mention of when Intel is going to launch these new chips. The company didn’t talk about 10nm node during its CES keynote this year, which indicates it might still be having production issues.

New Intel 8th Gen Coffee Lake, plus 10nm Cannonlake chips

Intel Coffee Lake Desktop SKUs in 2018
Let’s start with the desktop parts. First, we have the Core i7-8670 which is a hexa-core chip with hyperthreading enabled for 12 threads. It features 12 MB of L3 cache and a base clock of 3.1GHz, but boost clock is not yet known. The Core i5-8600T has 6 cores and 6 threads clocked at a base frequency of 2.3GHz. It comes with 9 MB of L3 cache.

Next up, we have the Core i5-8500. It is also a 6-core, 6-thread chip featuring the same 9 MB L3 cache, but offers higher base clock of 3.0GHz. There is also the Core i3-8300 which has been confirmed to be in the launch pipeline for some time now, but is yet to see the day of light. The chip has 4 cores and 4 threads with a base clock of 3.70GHz and 8 MB of L3 cache.

Intel Coffee Lake Mobile SKUs in 2018
The leak reveals three new mobility SKUs based on the Coffee Lake architecture. Starting with the Core i7-8850H, this chip has 6 cores and 12 threads, clocked at 2.6GHz base and 4.2GHz boost. It features the Intel UHD Graphics 630 along with 12 MB of L3 cache.

Finally, we have two 8th Gen Core i3 U-Series chips: the Core i3-8121U and Core i3-8130U. Both chips feature a dual core design with 4 threads and 4 MB of L3 cache. They even run at the same base clock of 2.2GHz but will likely differ in their boost frequencies which are unfortunately unknown at the moment.

We will update you with more details on these products once they become available, so stay tuned.
