GTX 1070 Ti listings spotted; Asus ROG Strix and Turbo models pictured

With the launch of Nvidia’s upcoming GeForce GTX 1070 Ti only a few days away, multiple etailers have started listing the card up for pre-order. Spotted by VideoCardz, the 1070 Ti listings include products from Asus, MSI and Zotac.

Nvidia GTX 1070 Ti Listings – All cards feature Same Clock Speeds

Asus is apparently planning to launch three variants of the 1070 Ti: two will be Strix models (Gaming and Advanced Gaming), and the third card will be a new Turbo product. The list prices of up to 746 EU are, of course, artificially inflated and don’t reflect what these GPUs will cost at launch.

Pictures of Asus GTX 1070 Ti offerings have also leaked online. The ROG Strix rocks a triple-fan cooler, while the Turbo model is based on the Nvidia reference board design with Asus blower-style cooler.

MSI will offer the GTX 1070 Ti in five variants: Aero, Armor, Duke, Gaming (X?) and Titanium. Each and every one of these models run at the same base and boost clock, which (sort of) confirms the big news that is the 1070 Ti will not be overclockable.

The Zotac GTX 1070 Ti series will include at least two cards, the AMP! Extreme and Mini.

GTX 1070 Ti Specifications – GP104-300 GPU, 1607 Core Clock, 180W TDP

The Nvidia GTX 1070 Ti uses the GP104-300 GPU featuring 7.2 Billion transistors. It is basically the same maxed out GP104 graphics chip powering the GTX 1080, except that the new variant has one dysfunctional Stream Processor. Meaning, the GP104-300 has 19 SMs instead of 20, for a total of 2432 CUDA cores, along with 152 TMUs and 64 ROPs.

On the memory side, the GTX 1070 Ti packs 8 GB of GDDR5 memory clocked at 8 Gbps, compared to the 11 Gbps of GDDR5X on GTX 1080. Further, the 1070 Ti has memory running a 256-bit bus, allowing it a total bandwidth of 256 GB/s.

The new Pascal card is said to feature a 1607 MHz base clock and 1683 MHz boost clock, which should offer a compute performance of 8.1 TFLOPs.

Now, there have been rumors that all GTX 1070 Ti partner cards will be locked to the same reference clock speeds. If this comes true then it’s possible that the card can’t be overclocked at all, unlike most Nvidia GPUs which easily breeze past their rated turbo clock speeds.

Finally, the GTX 1070 Ti will have a TDP of 180W, which is the same as the GTX 1080. The card will draw power from 8-pin and 6-pin PCIe connectors.

Nvidia is expected to launch the 1070 Ti on October 26 with stock availability scheduled for November the 2nd. The card could retail for $429.
