AMD Ryzen 7 Wraith Max RGB Cooler Demoed in “Breathing” mode

AMD Ryzen 7 Wraith Max RGB Cooler

AMD is set to launch a full range of new RGB coolers for its next generation Ryzen processors. It’s pairing the refreshed Wraith coolers with its Ryzen 7 CPUs and we’ve just got a video of the top-end Ryzen 7 Wraith Max RGB cooler in action.

The Ryzen 7 series, including the 1800X, 1700X and 1700, would ship in with two different cooling options. Both Black Edition Ryzen 7 1800X and 1700X will be available with and without the Wraith Max cooler. The Ryzen 7 Wraith Max has a thermal design power of 140W and costs $20 more on the multi-pack.

The non-X Ryzen 7 1700 ships with the 95W Wraith Spire RGB cooler. There is also a third entry-level 65W Wraith Stealth cooler with no RGB lighting which will likely ship with Ryzen 5 and Ryzen 3 CPUs when they launch in second quarter of the year.

The Ryzen Wraith cooler can be synced with any other RGB component in your system. You can customize the lighting inside your case according to your liking. The video shows the Ryzen 7 Wraith Max in the “breathing” mode with the light fading in and out. The mode is coupled with the color cycling effect that changes the color with every so called breath.

The Ryzen 7 Wraith Max sports four copper heatpipes, paired with a relatively large fan operating at lower RPS. This delivers near-silent performance that owners of new Ryzen CPUs would expect from the beloved Wraith brand.

AMD will start selling its Ryzen 7 processors on March 2nd. The first Ryzen shipment batch is expected to top one million processors with number based on the accumulation of all three released models.

The Ryzen launch will be accompanied by brand-new AM4 motherboards. AMD is expected to offer 80 AM4 boards at launch which will be made available through its board partners.
