New Moto X 2017 Images Leak – 5.2″ display, Fingerprint Sensor & More

Rumors regarding the Moto X 2017 have been making rounds for a while, and now new images of the upcoming smartphone have leaked on the web. The leak shows two real life Moto X 2017 images that give us a good idea of how the fourth gen product from the company will look like.

The new Moto X4 images come via /LEAKS which show that the device is made out of metal and likely to sport a 5.2-inch display.

Below the display sits a fingerprint scanner while the power / lock and volume rocker physical keys are located on the right-hand side of the phone. There is also the proximity sensor and front facing camera, with the Moto logo at top left corner.

On the back is the phone’s main camera which pretty much resembles the one on the Moto Z. Apart from the camera, you can also see the Moto logo and secondary mic for noise cancellation at nearly top left.

The bezels are quite thick on the phone, with the large space left above and below the display making the things more odd, don’t they?

The Moto X 2017 is likely to come with Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box, given the company already has a good build with it that was recently released for the Moto Z Droid. Details on the rest of specs are scarce, but if previous rumors are to be believed, the Moto X 2017 could feature 3GB / 4GB of RAM, and will be available in Silver and Gold variants.

Right now, we don’t know if the leak actually shows the new Moto X 2017, and we can only wait and see what happens. Stay tuned to DigiWorthy for more updates on the new Moto X phone!

So far… The Moto M is the best looking, but shame about the Lenovo processor of choice

  • tyler

Looks awful. That better be a G5. The moto X pure blows this out if the water. Where’s the dual speakers?!? The awesome design?!? And those bezels! Shame on you, Lenovo.

  • M3EEKS

This looks like ass. Finger print reader should be on back and there should be two front facing speakers; that’s a Moto X.
Google Pixels are the successor to Moto X, in my opinion. I wish it had front facing speakers, but with the Read It To Me app, functionality is similar enough, and it’s an awesome phone.

Ya that not so neat, remember how compact the original x was? Need a 5″ish device with mods

  • Harley

I’m thinking it’s just the Moto M, but still, that’s a god awful design especially compared to the 2015 Moto X

  • and the award for the Worst Smartphone Design Ever goes toooooo..

  • Brian Watters

Sure hope this is not real.. The Moto X Pure rocks compared to this! LENOVO had better get this one right or their cell phone division will be short lived

  • Daishi

Terrible, if not an uninspired design. Everyone so far has called it. Huge bezels. No front facing speakers. Fingerprint sensor placement. This doesn’t scream “Moto X”. It mews “generic Lenovo phone”.

  • Evan Adams

Where are the pogo pins!? Fail.

  • nathan carter

Fuuuuucckk Motorola! Speakers! Whyyy would you not use the moto m design and have dual speakers!!!! Fuuuuucckk !!!!!

  • Semianonymous

    Holy shit is that ugly
Where’s the ergonomics? Where’s the dual front facing speakers? Why isn’t the finger print scanner rear facing? Why are the bezels so fucking massive.

This isn’t a Moto X. Stop fucking around, Lenovo. You aren’t apple, you don’t get to dictate what consumers want.
