A new rumor coming from China suggests that the Oppo Find 9 will be the first smartphone to pack the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor. The phone is expected to be unveiled at the Mobile World Congress 2017 with release planned for sometime in March.
The Find 9 is the most sought after Oppo device that users have been seeking for two and half year since the company launched the last Find series model, the Find 7, back in May 2014. While the company is yet to make an official announcement, there have been various leaks and rumors about the new device making rounds for a while.
According to the latest leak, the Oppo Find 9 will be powered by a Snapdragon 835 chipset. This makes sense considering the Find series is Oppo’s high-end, and the firm will certainly opt for the most powerful CPU in the market for its next-gen flagship phone.
There is not much we know about the Snapdragon 835 itself, except that it will be built using Samsung’s 10nm FinFET process. However, if this leaked document is to be believed, the SD 835 will be an octa-core processor unlike the SD 820 and 821 which have four cores.
In addition to this, the chipset will boast a new graphics processing unit Adreno 540, as well as support UFS 2.1 technology, the next iteration of the Universal Flash Storage. The Snapdragon 835 will be available for clients starting Q1 2017.
Apart from featuring the Snapdragon 835 processor, the Oppo Find 7 is rumored to sport a 5.5-inch 2K display. Other leaks suggest 6GB RAM, 64GB of storage, and a dual-rear camera. The device will likely run Android 7.x Nougat out of the box.
